Lawsuit

LawsuitTo quote: ..Regarding law suits damage has been done to everyone in and around Esperance. Endangering children who may end up retarded etc. The lack of quiet enjoyment of their property and their person. The big question will be who is responsible. The company, the port or DEC. Maybe all three. That was my question. Has there been anything written in the Australian press about such damages having been done? I seem to recall one instance where a child was found with an elevated lead level but it didn't sound life threatening. The investigators were scraping dust from windowsills and going to quite extreme lengths to check for lead contamination in the town as well as checking people's blood analyses. It would seem that there is plenty of grist for the lawyers here if someone proves or contends that they suffered in some meaningful way. People could sue IVW or the port, IVW could sue the port etc. etc. Here's hoping it never comes to all that. Meanwhile, the market seems to be reflecting a general feeling that the worst is over and that IVW can be expected to continue as an operating enterprise.
