RE: Conference call...

RE: Conference call...I dont know if we were on the same conference call but what I heard: whine / whine / whine and execuses on the agglomerator not working, the stacking conveyor belts having problems and oh yes, that terrible cold. Forget the fact that the mine is operating at 40% of capacity and no real timeframe for fixing things other than trust us. I also heard that cash costs and hedge etc., may not be enough funds to cover everything unless they get production up. As for takeover- they talked about CCU looking at others and not eh other way around - go figure that out (actually makes sense as who wants to take over a sick puppy unless it shows signs that it is getting better). I dont think the sulphur production was from the EW processes but rather a complete separate process where materials are burned, sulphur is produced, power, etc., but why worry about that now as there are more pressing problems. In my mind an overall ok call but short on very specific this is the problem and these are the solutions type call. so no overly encouarged that this has turned the corner. Would have been a great time for him to announce April production but they arent doing it for a reason and its not because they have moved to quarterly reporting. This is at best suppression of information.
