RE: DLV ...record trading !
RE: DLV ...record trading !
That's what happens. I once threw a 14-bagger away because I thought it would go much higher. Instead the company tanked, they did a 20:1 roll back and shortly thereafter was halted for trading. Still are now 3 years later and I will probably be sitting on my shares for the rest of my life. When you have been in these markets long enough you have that kind of sad stories to tell.
As for DLV I have been thinking and doing a little more research. It seems that W Frederick Christensen is no longer CEO of Jumbo but he is still on their BOD. What bothers me is that neither of these companies have released any real news for now exactly one year. Jumbo changed its name from Jumbo Development to Jumbo Petroleum last year in May (Jumbo does have a website but do not hold your breath. It looks like it has never been finished. No real info available there). Similarly the last real news from DLV was this report on their BC-properties from mid 2006. I can't help wondering if something happened to this Christensen guy. Did he get seriously ill, did he get 5 years for manslaughter (drunk driving) or whatever happened to him? That was basically why I asked if you had ever met anybody from DLV. Another worry I have is pure financial. DLV has a cash reserve of $800,000 whereas JBO has a debt of $843,000. These figures fit together almost too nicely. What if president Christensen decided to give JBO a loan of $800,000 mediated by JBO BOD member Christensen. A kind of Jekyll/Hyde performance. It is just a thought but cash vanishing acts of that kind is unfortunately real enough. I would feel better if we got some real news from both companies indicating in which direction they were going.
If I can dig out an e-mail address on any of these companies I will e-mail them and voice my concerns. I am not particularly optimistic
ever getting a reply though.
