RE: Century is a gift > plake

RE: Century is a gift > plakewelcome plake, "We have all invested in SUE for one reason. Not for SUE's management, not for a belief in Peru's econony ...simply because we know there is a lot gold (and silver)in the ground and it looks like SUE has first dibs." actually, I'm here for the irony of a stock with the symbol SUE that is always in litigation While I agree with your thoughts on WIN/WIN scenarios (i have thought of many, too) there are certainly some people that see this is as no more than negotiating with a new terrorist. They may feel this is the old story of the scorpion and the tortoise; that it is about the nature of the new person wanting to "negotiate" at gun point. Perhaps some people just view this as another unethical attempt to extort something in bad faith and wonder if there are international obstruction of justice laws being tested here. Who knows, time will tell; I for one am not any more concerned than I was before all this happened. I'm an investor that wants to see the gold taken out of the ground. Our case is strong, but I won't pretend to understand all possible outcomes of the new legal wranglings going on. I'm a patient person and it would be contrarian for me to walk away from such a strong position just as things are getting so close to (IMO) resolution. IMO, one thing most people don't realize is just how many SUE shares are held in "friendly" hands. And IMO, these holders are quite confident in their position. Check out Sulliden's management backgrounds and credentials; they are IMO, people to be reckoned with. They have handled this case with absolute professionalism despite what people throw at them. Their level of methodical legal precision, their recent corporate restructuring, and their financial positioning to date tells me a great deal about how the future may unfold; not the details, but certainly the process. Our core management team are well educated, industry seasoned, incredibly respected exploration professionals. Again, I'm obviously biased, I own this stock. Just for fun check out Mr. Kearney's profile from Canadian Zinc Corporation: https://www.canadianzinc.com/content/about/management.php "John Kearney has over thirty years experience in the mining industry worldwide. With degrees in law, economics and business administration, he has a strong background in corporate development, finance and managing public companies, primarily in the mining field. He was previously President and Chief Executive of Northgate Exploration Limited (TSE; NYSE: LSE) Campbell Resources Inc. (TSE; NYSE; MSE) Sonora Gold Corp. (TSE; NASDAQ). He is currently Chairman of Anglesey Mining plc (LSE) and Conquest Resources Limited (TSX-V) and a Director of Avnel Gold Mining Ltd. (TSX); Scandinavian Minerals Limited (TSX); Sulliden Exploration Inc. (TSX) and Minco plc (AIM). He is also a director of the Mining Association of Canada, and of the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines. A director of Canadian Zinc since 2001, Mr. Kearney was appointed President in June 2003 and since that time has led the Company in the redevelopment of the Prairie Creek Mine, including raising over $40 million." Needless to say, I think we are in good hands going forward. good tradin' Plake -oldtimer
