Jewelry at AGM

Jewelry at AGMThey sent 44 diamonds (202 ct) to be cut and polished, 26 were on display. The results of having sent 'difficult' diamonds to cut were 'very impressive'. They purposely did not select ones that were easy to cut. On display: most were single gems in individual boxes. one ring was on display. 1) 1.25 ct Pear (white) graded as DVS1 (cut down from a 3.31 ct stone) 2) .76 ct Radiant (fancy yellow) (cut down from 1.61 ct stone) 3) Two brown (champagne) Squares (very nice looking!) 4) Numerous large Rounds (some as big as 2 ct - very impressive) Each cut stone was in its own box, and some boxes had 2 gems inside of them (one big gem, one small). These were examples of two gems coming from one stone. The display case, which housed both the cut and polished gems, as well as about 3000 ct of rough diamonds, was approx. valued at $500,000. As Ken said, it has taken since 1995 to the present (12 years) to show everyone the end product: cut and polished gems.
