The falling US dollar should be more than offset by the increase in the US dollar price of commodities such as gold, diamonds, oil, etc. The downside to this is that it costs Americans more to buy all this stuff, negatively impacts the US inflation rate, puts negative pressure on US interest rates, and ultimately will affect the US consumer. But then again the US consumer is not as important as he/she used to be on the global stage. Our dollar looks strong against the US greenback but so are a lot of other currencies.
