You'll have to do your own article digging and related research.
Prove me incorrect if you care to try.
Falconbridge had a horrendous safety record with this mine. Abnormal injuries and tragic death... very sad and unnecessary.
But the mine was sold and required a name change to help with
the closure process.
Don't tell me that Falconbridge exec's didn't know nickel was going to go up when the sold the mine either... you just make yourself sound silly.
The unloaded the unprofitable , expensive , dangerous site to a penny stock shell company and still get all the ore anyway!!
No risk , no more bad press , no more throwing money into this mine , no more local uproar.
FNI's mine is more than well known to anyone living around these parts my friend.
You guys talk about profits ?? Funny, a years worth of profits from this mine will only get their ventilation issues up to code....same issue as before and costly as heck.
If they don't get the health standards up to code soon , and I mean like this year , it wouldn't surprise me to see a government agency shut the operation down , just like they did slightly before Falconbridge dumped it to the first buyer , FNI.
Do some homework and then talk to me big shot.
