Within this piece, David Miller, president of Starthmore Minerals, says that only a few of the hundreds of TSX-listed uranium companies will ever actually produce a pound of yellowcake, but many will make money on speculation that they might.
The speculation is fueled by investors’ big eyes after witnessing uranium virtually rise from the dead. The metal was at $7 a pound four years ago, but today it stands at about $130 a pound.
But Miller says some investors might bite off more than they can chew.
"My guess is 90 percent (of uranium companies) will be trainwrecks," said Miller. "You've got to do your due diligence."
