RE: WOW!!

RE: WOW!!It looks like the Ellycrack web site has the most current news (once again). Even with the reasons stated for the pilot plant delays, it still stretches credulity. The test rig sat on the docks in Norway for many months until Biles flew over and paid "dock taxes" or some such to get it onto the ship. Then the unit arrives in Canada -- now nine months ago. WSCE already knew they had to upgrade the unit to CA standards, but perhaps the SRC wanted additional changes. Seems like those issues would have been discussed in detail at the time the contract was being negotiated with SRC. It's been well over a year since the decision was made to bring the test rig to Canada (and not build a new pilot plant from scratch). Has anyone heard of time-to-market being important for new products, especially with competition not sitting idly around? Here's some news from Ellycrack Web site (my comments in blue): -------------------------- June 2007 Wescorp WESCORP Wescorp’s CEO Doug Biles paid us a visit in the beginning of May to take part in discussions with key players at a major prospect, review of the status and timing of the test rig, discussion of potential clients in Canada, Italy and in the Middle East in addition to detailed technical discussions of the technology. [Still no word on the Joint Venture agreement.] TECHNICAL The preparation of the test rig has been delayed as a result of HSE (Health Safety and Environment) requirements set forth by Saskatchewan Research Council. The electrical motors and instruments had to be replaced to meet the Canadian regulations. We have furthermore been halted by postponed delivery [Why, and for how much longer?] of a steam boiler from the USA. The test rig has been upgraded to substantially higher standards to ensure the reliability necessary for continuous operation with different types of oil. In the course of these enhancements, we have refined the process further in order to improve the commercial yield. We plan to test the reconstructed rig beginning late June. The results of this test program will determine the scheduling of the mass and energy test. [So the Test Rig is now at SRC? Who is conducting the tests? ] NORWAY We are continuing our negotiations with an European oil company to be the first to test samples of two oil types. We are expecting to have the formal contract shortly. VENEZUELA We plan to travel to Venezuela at the end of June in order to discuss the contract for testing PDVSA’s heavy oils as well as models for establishing a Venezuelan company for production of a plant for Venezuela. It is not possible predict the outcome of these negotiations, but our agent in Venezuela is confident that we will reach an agreement. [Excellent! How about a time frame? And isn't this getting the cart a bit ahead of the horse in that we don't have continuous process results or a mass-energy balance results?] KUWAIT After the summer vacation, we plan to visit Kuwait in order to present the technology to experts from the Kuwait Oil Company. The meetings are being organized by our agent Al Nasseria Petroleum Services Co. CANADA In Canada, several additional companies are lined up for testing their oils during second half of 2007. ITALY We have been approached by an european oil company to demonstrate the technology, as they have several heavy oil fields with 15 API oils. CORPORATE AND ECONOMICS When we have the results from the first mass and energy balance test, we plan to perform a share issue of about USD 1 mill. This is estimated to take place in August/September.
