AURELIAN INTERSECTS 250 METRES GRADING 35.18 G/T GOLD AND 264 METRES GRADING 5.40 G/T GOLD IN INFILL DRILLING AT FDN
The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, July 12, edition that four junior exploration companies with undeveloped gold resources are in the "takeover sweet spot," says analyst Michael Gray. The Globe's Allan Robinson writes that Mr. Gray is an analyst with PI Financial Corp. The catalysts for Kirkland Lake Gold and Aurelian Resources are updates on their exploration projects. For Osisko Exploration, it is the continued exploration success in the Malartic gold district. For Miramar Mining, it is an updated feasibility study and water licence hearings on its Doris North deposit. Miramar Mining stock dropped a dime to finish Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange at $4.91. Miramar stock has a 52-week trading range of $6.12 to $3.59. Kirkland Lake stock climbed 29 cents Wednesday to finish at $12.29 on the TSX. Kirkland stock has a one-year trading range of $14.42 to $6.01. Aurelian Resources stock retreated 30 cents Wednesday to close in Toronto at $7.25. Aurelian stock has a one-year trading range of $10.75 to $4.438. Osisko Exploration finished Wednesday on the TSX Venture Exchange at $5.64, up six cents. Osisko stock has a one-year trading range of $6.675 to $2.075.

AURELIAN APPOINTS COO TO OVERSEE DEVELOPMENT AT FDN
George Bee, an experienced operations and project development executive, will join Aurelian Resources Inc. as its chief operating officer effective Aug. 1. Mr. Bee was most recently director, technical projects, for Barrick Gold Corp., where he has held a range of senior operational roles since 1989 when he first started with Barrick Goldstrike Mines Inc. in Nevada.
"We are delighted that George will be joining us," says Patrick F.N. Anderson, Aurelian's president and chief executive officer. "The fact that we were able to attract such a seasoned mine builder is a testament to the tremendous asset we have in Fruta del Norte, our Ecuadorian gold deposit. His appointment demonstrates our commitment to move FDN forward to production and to catapult Aurelian into the ranks of mid-tier producers."
As Aurelian's chief operating officer, Mr. Bee will be responsible for moving the project forward toward production as well as maintaining the company's positive profile in Ecuador and ensuring best practices in environment, health and safety.
Mr. Bee's 27-year mining career began as a miner in a Cornish tin mine and has culminated in successively more responsible senior operational roles in one of the world's leading mining companies
