RE: The Bigger GameSome of us have bought NAK/NDM stock from low to mid-single digits whether it be $US or $C; we are, of course, disappointed that the share price didn't zoom up on the news. I, for one, conclude that "instant gratification" was an implicit bet as the company entered into well know due diligence with other potential partners. Now, I am recalling some addtional facts that lead me to hold for the long term ( again ) and expect a take-out offer soon above 20 or one later ( several years later ) above 40 or 50 ( also considering the recent investment analysis we have read ). RIO was constructed from Spanish mining companies by the Rothschilds and they according to my research have a controlling interest in it (not 50% but over 30%). RIO and Anglo already have joint ventures in place. Anglo is RIO have some large mutual long term shareholding groups. RIO in recent years has become quite strategic in lining up opportunities in 5 - 10 year pipelines. So, near term, RIO may well conclude with their own NPV analysis they could substantially increase their holdings of our favorite stock and realize exceptional value growth (as we're too impatient as a group as we'd take 20 or so short term). They could also be combined with Anglo or another large miner (few of them) and taking our public float would be a great investment for an even larger company needing large new property production years out.
I think the stock will continue growing at a rate in excess of the 25% per year since I first bought shares...that's all I need to know plus the upside of gold, silver, copper, moly, etc. prices continuing up as China and India grow.
