Energy segment provides drilling and other services to the energy sector in Canada, the U.S. and South America, and Manufacturing segment is engaged in designing, and manufacturing of equipment for water well, mineral exploration and geotechnical drilling companies. It generates a majority of its revenue from the Minerals segment.

EGD probably has a small float out there what with some 22 million shares outstanding according to Stockwatch. With a lot of it in tight hands, there might not be much to trade. The spread today has been as large as .25, if not higher, which is huge, IMO. Sure didn't take many shares to knock it for a loop. Makes little sense to me, since I believe the company continues to get stronger. The stock was knocked down about .29 this morning on just 5000 shares or so. Why someone would apparently sell the shares at the market rather than put in a limit says to me that someone either needed a fast 15 grand or else some shenanigan was going on. I suspect the latter, BWTFDIK.
