More relevant perspective...From MISFIT1 on the NOT board... "I agree with you on the safe haven of Gold over the next 18 months. I have called what we are experiencing another Black Monday, just over the period of one month rather than a day. I follow over 50 stocks at one time and without exception all have taken a haircut over the past month. The potential of each company has not changed. What has changed is overall market demand. Unlike Black Monday, the volume of selling is low for these stocks. There is not a market sell off happening. Rather, there is no demand. This allows for market manipulators to sell into the bids, creating a perception of a falling market. Like Black Monday, stop loss orders are being triggered as the sales into the bid drop the price. Only this time, with very low volume trading. This tells me two things: 1) there are a lot less stop loss orders in place which is understandable given that Black Monday taught everybody a lesson on how to lose your shares only to see them bounce the next day and 2) there are a lot of patient investors out there waiting for this storm to blow over (given the small volumes). It is hard to look at our portfolio values of late and have confidence, as noboby likes to see declines in a bull market. Investor confidence has been shaken resulting in less money being invested to meets current asks or create depths of bids. This leads all stocks into a position where they can fall quickly. Those with cash and time can buy up some good deals this week. There are a lot of new 52 week lows out there on some very good companies. I bought some more Noront at .455 yesterday. To hard to resist. It does not matter to me if this drops to .40 as 15 million dollars of institutional PP money was put up to build a ramp on Windfall. They must know something, and we are following their lead. They paid .50 cents for those shares. Today is a good day to get into that PP for .46. This will all turnaround in time. It always does with good companies. M1."
