U companies

U companiesWell i share the sentiments of many on this board that now is the time to BUY i am still somewhat bearish. The markets are driven by mass fear and greed and common sense has little to do with it. If the trend is down then thats where were going! On that note i do try to place strategic 'calls' on some stocks since the risk/reward looks good to me here. But as most of these U plays are far from making large money.. save for maybe SXR, DML or a few others the market may shift to proven earners with solid dividends. My current holdings are some SXR and BVF (huge yield and loads of cash). Banks seem cheap but will US sub prime worries spill over to drive them lower? I believe BNS has little for US operations compared to the other top 5. TLM looks attractive compared price to peers. This market could be good or ugly still yet, but i am hoping for the strong finish of the typical 3rd yr in presidential election years then i will head for the exits with some PUTS.
