RE: Latest threat to oil -Wuggy

RE: Latest threat to oil -WuggyWuggy, I am 100% sure I don't know the whole story about Chavez. I base my opinion on reading (local newspapers), talking to Venezuelans, having lived in Venezuela, and relatives who live in Venezuela who are both for Chavez and against. One had to "kiss the feet of Chavez", just so he could be eligible to work for the number one employer "PDVSA". He has paid a finders fee to a Chavista(ie. corrupt) just to get on the list. He has had to bury his hate for Chavez, swallow his pride and declare his support, just to have a job. Yes my opinions may be biased, and biased opinions are everywhere, but freedoms we take for granted aren't. I've personally paid a chunk of change to fund Chavez's campaign, just so our company could retain the contract. Some of the best geologists in Venezuela drive taxis, because of the strike. Now Chavez's own people are telling him the rig situation there is critical. Chavez goes from talking about nationalization of rigs to offering incentives, does he think we are stupid? I know most companies who do business in Venezuela knowingly take a calculated risk, but when the supply of rigs is tight, there are better places to do business.
