The other side of the news...On the surface is MTC's staking of Fearless a good thing? The answer is yes. But anybody getting a lather over this is screwy.
After the discovery of Hemlo, one of the richest gold mines in the world substantial work was done all around the mine (including Fearless). Yet nobody could come with an economic mine to-date. It doesn't mean another isn't there. In fact there is probably a poptential new mine there for sure, just as there could be anywhere in northern Ontario.
This land was given-up by the owner. The majors are not completely stupid. If they could have enticed a junior to farm-in (spend real money) they would have taken it.
True that maybe MTC had greater hindsight. But it doesn't chage the fact that the property has been searched and that the operator just gave it up. so its a good thing, but far from being excited over.
More troubling is the very slow pace of progress at Big Lake and North Rock. Beofre MTC starts touting Fearless how about showing some real progress at its core properties. Now is the time that hype itself cannot do, we need more real substance.
