Today''s Media Work

Today''s Media WorkWell I agree that permits are probably something that Mike could not discuss out of respect for the political protocols but my goodness there is a whole list of things he could have addressed in a coast to coast opportunity like this: First Nations Strategy and Positive outcomes Roadways Community Involvement Final Phases of Permitting Contracts Awarded Buidings being errected Ball mill orders feel free to add to the list there are so many.... I think he should have had a PR person sit with him prior to the presentation to discuss the items that he needed to get across to the public and investor population. This would be a tradtional approach that most CEOs would take when they are faced with a nerve racking interview that is so high profile. Mike was nervous and that showed and I can feel for him - not all of us are public speaking savy - the worst of it is that the heat he is probably getting over this right now from the bold bunch is probably tremendous. That too becomes distracting..let him focus on building a mine - that is where he is our expert. The interviewer did not help him either...it all seemed way too ad hoc and the answers were short and lacking in any embellishment - although 5 mins is not alot of time - it was his 5 mins to say what he needed to say nonetheless. That is where the interview fell apart. So, once again many of us are upsidedown on this stock, but I am not going to crystalize my losses and sell. It is a fundamentally sound business case and I will stand beside it all the way to production. I can only offer that I wish we would buy some heavyweights in the marketing and PR discipline. Engineers are not marketeers much like marketeers are not often engineers. Stick to core competencies and hire to your weaknesses. Basic business 101. Guys you need a full time smokin - keener marketing and business development person on staff, and soon.
