RE: AGAIN ! - NO SPLIT...

RE: AGAIN ! - NO SPLIT...Earnings create value. Growing dividends is an indicator of increasing value. Stock splits do not in-and-of-itself create any value. It is an "marker" for success (i.e., you split because the stock hit a very high level), but it doesn't create any value by itself. CM's earnings are very strong, much stronger than anybody expected. Stock price not reflecting that for number of biased psychological reasons. Not haviong a split is probably one factor, but not likely the main one and there are many others in any event. The most important thing is to continue to create real value and share price will take care of itself in the long run. Maybe CM wants to complete its 10 mm share buy-back and will split the stock after next quarter. Since I'm not selling that's great. Rather CM buy back share at lower price which benefits long-term holders.
