RE: Threats are dangerous.

RE: Threats are dangerous. Those that resort to insults show their ignorance. Read your own post and put it in the same perspective of service companies, Spiderman8. The big oil companies do the same to them. They yell about shortage of workers and want to bring in immigrants for cheap labour and yet there was NO shortage of workers. They just don't want to pay for it. They want their high price for oil though don't they? For years they have gone from one extreme to another. One day they want the oil and gas out, as if there is no tomorrow. Then the next week they are shutting it all in. Everyone gets laid off, good workers say the heck with this and leave. Look at the immigrants they are now leaving too. Now next time they need good qualified people for their next extreme move where are they going to find them. People laid off find other jobs elsewhere that are more steady and many many do not return to the oil patch. The good old days are gone. Labour force is growing older and there are not enough young people to replace them. These same young people have grown up watching this and many do not even want to go near the oilpatch. What are they going to do then? I believe royalties should rise. The extra money can be used to finance more refineries and upgraders here in Alberta. Help keep future jobs here instead of them heading to the USA. People have to start thinking 10 years down the road and not 1 year greedy profit thinking that has gone on for far too long. Just my opinion.
