Well obviously the market never worked before. If it were true when was the last time a refinery was built in Alberta? Were they not making record profits? I say that Alberta should invest in a refinery or whatever keeps the good jobs here. Don't make it sound like they will be running it. They would be like any other investor, in for the profit. Profit for use in other sectors in Alberta. That is smart economics. We don't need politicians we need economist to run this province. Oil & Gas are not renewable resources. When they are gone what then? I am stating that future investment in other alternatives and investment in keeping the good jobs here is what is needed. Just ask the auto workers as their jobs are lost to other countries that have a lower standard of living and cheap labour. That destroys are standard of living and who do they think will buy their vehicles? Take a look at the big picture. The only ones benefitting are the few top dogs.
