RE: Royalty Threat
RE: Royalty ThreatWhen we are in a global relization that oil and gas are now a depleting resource, it is unfair to compare this to what happened 20 years ago. There have been many busts in this industry since then, that the only cause was the price of oil and gas. That is why the recent layoffs and it seems that these big oil companies want to twist it and blame it on this royalty issue. People know better. Just seems to me that the greed really showed this time when one month they are out recruiting immigrants from all over Canada and the world to come work and then next month threatening to cut all investment off in Alberta. You really think that attracts people to this province? Move all the way here just to get laid off? I mean markets don't like instability and it is these kind of threats that the oil companies are making that is causing this instability. And most certainly it does not bode well for workers in the future. They are the cause of shortage of workers. They scream that you have to have a stable environment to invest. What about a stable environment to work for the workers???? Again they don't give a rats but about anything except their almight profits. Even a report on Edmonton news stated that immigrants are now leaving Alberta in great numbers and they are trying to find out why. Well I wonder why....
