RE: Mr.G estimated 7500 BO/D initial production
This is the news release information provided by Mr G's expectations of production from POD1 being 7500BO/D ramping up to the 10,000BO/D liscensing.
From piecing the history of SAGD production we can guess the following.
The estimated initial production of 300BO/D per well up to 500BO/d due to the 30% increase in well length (500M to 650m).
With 15 collection wells x 300 BO/D = 4500 BO/D
x 500 BO/D = 7500 BO/D
This means about 4500 BO/D to 7500 BO/D based on performance records of other SAGD wells.
SAGD are expected 600BO/D upto about 1000/BO/D..I have heard that they can produce more under ideal conditions.
@600BO/D = 9000 BO/D
Target out put from SAGD by CLL is just over 650 BO/D per well average.
Mr. G expects the 7500 BO/D based on the core results and reserve quality. This would be based on expected 500 BO/D from each well intially.
The additional production will come over a few months time.
Life expectance of the SAGD well is only 9 years... therefore more wells are planned to come on line over time as warranted. There are at least 6 more pads scheduled for developement. Under the application it specifies more wells, some 60 SAGD or more for POD1. 6 Pads only means 36 well pairs. 36 + 15= 51 well pairs possible.
Additional pads are in close proximatey to steam and can be put on in a timely manner for additional collection. This might need more production liscensing and could be applied for sooner than later.
It is reasonable to assume the production will warrant more wells and production liscensing due to the experience of the developement team. POD1 will make a similar application as the Deer Creek project for expansion upon results.
There maybe new technologies that will also increase well productivity in the near future. I will be contacting CLL management about a possible technology that may assist and increase production. I have a little research to perform before contacting them. There may be some merit to my research and I have discussed it with oil field consultants earlier today. You just never know what can happen???
