UpThe market would try to take a calculated approach to IVW's shares if there is a good chance that the shipping problem will be resolved. There are probably a lot of potential IVW investors lurking in the woods with the intention of buying the stock as soon as they feel confident that the company is going to resume operations. The question then becomes one of timing. Given the time value of money everyone would probably like to wait until the day before market sentiment turns about IVW so they could jump in and make a fast return. It appears to me that there is smart money around that feels the probability of a positive outcome is quite high and that waiting until Q1/08 for a share price jump is not unreasonable. If that is the reason for the trading volume and price jump then somebody blinked. The fact that it appears that investors feel $1.70 is a reasonable price today for good news in Q1 would seem very bullish to me. I have been long IVW for a considerable time but have no complaints about the share price or management's handling of this whole "dead bird" calamity.
