Drilling Commences On North Brenda, BC Molybdenum / Copper Project
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (BTT, TSX-V) and drilling contractor Full Force Diamond Drilling Ltd. have mobilized a diamond drill rig to Bitterroot's 100 percent-owned North Brenda molybdenum/copper property, located approximately 30 kilometres west of the town of Westbank, in south-central British Columbia.
The drill is testing targets which are located on the southern part of the property, approximately one kilometre north of the formerly-producing Brenda Mine (177 million tonnes grading 0.049% Mo and 0.183% Cu). The planned five-hole, 1,500 metre drill program will test extensive, highly anomalous molybdenum and copper-in-soil geochemical anomalies that are coincident with an Induced Polarization chargeability anomaly. Outcrops in the vicinity of the drill sites are mineralized with molybdenite/chalcopyrite-bearing veins and fracture-controlled mineralization typical of that occurring at the Brenda mine.
On the northern part of the 44 square-kilometre North Brenda property, Bitterroot's 2007 soil sampling and prospecting program has identified several other molybdenum/copper targets. Induced Polarization surveys will begin over these targets within two weeks. Mr. Charles Greig, P.Geo is the Qualified Person responsible for the design and execution of exploration programs on the North Brenda project.
