RE: Kurdistan Oil
RE: Kurdistan OilCAX is in deep discussions with the Kurds. No where else in the world is there such huge potential and a developed infrastructure. Iraq has the second or third largest conventional oil reserves in the world. No modern drilling or exploration has taken place for decades. The light is at the end of the tunnel for the political situation in Iraq and the Kurds control some of the biggest fields in the middle east. Getting in now is smart business. I'd much rather take my chances in Kurdistan than drilling for friggin heavy oil in the Middle of Nowhere (aka Madagascar).
I find it amazing that some people think Tunisia is significantly safer. Tunisia hasn't been immune from Al Quaeda terrorist attacts. There are plenty of bombings going on in Algeria.
Ironically, one of the safest places in the Middle East (let alone Iraq) is Kurdistan. Many Iraqi Shia and Sunni are moving to Kurdistan for safety reasons.
