Election, oil and hot air!

When you ask 90% of the population in Alberta, they have nothing to do with investment and oil business and they have very minimal understanding of economics. As a result, when somebody promises an unreal 2 Billion dollars extra in their pocket, 90% would say "yes". Although this 2 billion dollars would never be realize due to simple supply and demand relationship and unrealistic cost of doing business in Alberta, it will give guarnteed pass for Stelmach's election. But this promise will come back and hunt every single one of these people when Alberta loses its lustre and business activity in oil and gas shifts to neighbouring provinces, i.e., Sask for sure. This province had a surplus, close to 8 Billion dollars if I am not wrong, what did they do with it in terms of benefit to this province that now they are after a mirage 2 Billion dollars based on this uneducated perception? Do you want my answer? "Nothing". This is just an election tactic and it is not going to benefit this province. End of the story.
