RE: Questions for Aurcana (Ken and Ron)...

RE: Questions for Aurcana (Ken and Ron)...gbraid said: "I was also at the show and was told the 43-101 news in November is only on the one ore body they are currently mining not the entire La Negra mine." This is my understanding as well. The 43-101ing the entire mine will take quite a while given all of the different orebodies and the complexity if the mine. I do not recall exactly how much of the mine this first 43-101 will cover, but is definitely not all of La Negra. Ken said that the reserve calculations done by Penholes when they were operating the mine are very accuarate, but because they were done by a Mexican company pre 2000, the exchange will not accept them. Therefore, they basically have to do this work all over again, but this time the reserves will be LARGER because they will include more ore because of higher metal prices (making more of the rock economic to mine) and because presumably exploration will turn-up new areas of mineralization. Thus, the historical non-43-101 compliant reserves that AUN is reporting now will probably always be much lower than the actaul 43-101 reserves that they eventually report for each zone/orebody in the mine. I fully expect that AUN will eventually publish at least double the double the current non-43-101 reserves with it 43-101(s)for La Negra... Higher metal prices and further exploration will, at minimum, double La Negra to 2.4 million tonnes... Regards, B.
