The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Year U. The fund invests at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index and in securities that the Adviser determines have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the economic characteristics of the securities that comprise the index. The index is designed to measure the performance of short term (1-3 years) public obligations of the U.S. Treasury.

nearnorth101You can learn more than I know by reading through some of the posts here and by visiting the company's web site. SST.v basically buys current and future by-product silver production from base metal miners. The price structure for its purchases is substantially below current prices. SST achieves this discount by prepaying for the silver through the issuance of shares to the miner from whom it buys the silver and advancing them cash. The structure of the company's business is similar to SLW's. It is has been suggested with good reason that SST is undervalued relative to SLW. That's why I own it rather than SLW, though I have and likely will hold both...
