Xstrata and other majors knocking on Noront''sNoront Resources Ltd (C-NOT) - In the News Kaiser says Noront confronts the exploration bear 2007-11-02 19:39 ET - In the News Shares issued 90,300,807 NOT Close 2007-11-02 C$ 5.46 John Kaiser in an Oct. 19, 2007, Kaiser Blog muses about what Noront Resources Ltd.'s ($5.78) discovery in Northern Ontario will bring to the junior resource market under the heading "Is McFauld's Lake Shaping up as a Great Canadian Area Play?" Mr. Kaiser did not recommend Noront, arguing its price had shot up too much given the limited information about its Sept. 10, 2007, Double Eagle nickel-copper-PGM discovery. The bottom-fishing guru is looking for an area play to develop from the find in the James Bay lowlands. Fuelling Mr. Kaiser's optimism is that the TSX Venture Exchange set a trading volume record, 411.55 million shares, on Oct. 17, 2007, "thanks to a dozen juniors which have land in the McFauld's Lake region." His colourful and thoughtful wanderings predict that the "exploration bear that has cowered in the shadows of the 'race to production' commodity bull will find itself in a bullish spotlight while the commodity bull sulks in the barn." Great Canadian area plays, he says, flourish when bearish moods prevail. He adds that rumours are now flying about Xstrata and other majors knocking on Noront's door. "The people base is in place to provide massive networking of the McFauld's Lake story," he says.
