Foreign Exchange contracts

From last years Annual report: the company had $3.173B in contracts selling the US$ and buying the Can$ if my reading is correct.(Page 142) It seems to me that the company made $73million in Cumulative Translation Adjustment(Page 137) when the Can$/US$ conversion went from 1.2399 at the beginning of 2006 to 1.1477 at the beginning of 2007.(Page 142)
