RE: now what?
RE: now what?don't know about you but I am so mad at SUE management. The road they have been on is littered with woulda, coulda, shouldas. I mean really! When dealing in a Third World country perhaps all the deals don't go the way they would in a society that has a mature and fair legal system?
Look your position here is not exactly a secret so that kind of hyperbole just ain’t going to sway anyone so why not give it a rest. Perhaps a little legitimate dialogue might just occur if you stopped hiding behind the façade of outraged SUE stockholder and stood up as a CMM shareholder looking to improve his or her position. What with Barzolo/Athos/Comradekizmyazz plugging up the discussion and your games this board is really not worth much.
“But what was the point of NOT negotiating a deal some time ago when CMM came knocking on the door? I can understand being firm on ones convictions but in business it makes sense to hedge one's bets, go with a sure thing.”
Hmmm my guess would be that they felt that it was not in the best interest of the company to negotiate with CMM and whether you or I agree with that stance is not really relevant. As for a sure thing well the only sure thing so far is that CMM has a share price that is going down at about the same pace as Linda Lovelace used too. Now not to belabour the point but if in fact Cmm proves to be successful in their bid I have not seen one compelling piece of evidence to suggest that they can do anything with the project that will result in a marked improvement in the s/p. The simple fact remains that for all of the supposed positive technical data that has been posted here and at the CMM board concerning CMM being undervalued, shareholders in both companies are losing money. The position that the best solution is for CMM to takeover SUE is really taking a beating in terms of credibility based on the CMM s/p performance.
It does make a lot sense to hedge one’s bets but it doesn’t make any sense to bet on bad management at two companies instead of just one.
