By the statement of the Chairman, who certainly has not been a pumper in the past, I believe they have been approached. They are likely worried that with the shareprice at the 2.60 level, they are vulnerable to be bought out at the 3.50 level. A lot of new money from the deal would likely accept the quick buck here. Unfortunately, although management raised a lot of money, the new shareholders will likely vote for a buyout and the story will end. I hope I am wrong as I see HRG as a double from here. They are in real danger of a hostile buyout at the moment.
