Halifax, Nova Scotia CANADA, December 03, 2007 /FSC/ - Acadian Mining Corporation (TSX: ADA, FWB: C2Z), ("Acadian" or "Corporation") announced today that it has entered into an agreement with an arm's length third party to acquire a 100% interest, subject to a 20% net profit interest, in the Smithfield lead-zinc property in Nova Scotia. The Smithfield property comprises 9 mineral claims ("Claims") totaling 146.3 hectares (360 acres) and is strategically located 37 km by road from Acadian's Scotia Mine. The Claims represent the key and control portion of a larger group of contiguous claims totaling 1132.6 hectares (2797.0 acres), previously acquired in the region by the Corporation through staking.
