FSC / Press Release

ACADIAN MINING DISCOVERS ZINC-LEAD MINERALIZATION WITHIN 2.5 KILOMETRES OF ITS SCOTIA MINE

Halifax, Nova Scotia CANADA, December 04, 2007 /FSC/ - Acadian Mining Corporation (TSX: ADA, FWB: C2Z), announced results today from its drilling program on its 100% owned Carrolls Farm zinc-lead property located approximately 2.5 kilometres west of the Scotia Mine open pit and 1.5 kilometres west of the Getty Deposit. The program of 28 reverse circulation ("RC") drill holes and 2 diamond drill holes resulted in a new discovery of a zinc-lead mineralized carbonate reef which confirms the high prospectivity of the Corporation's claim holdings west of the mine. Of particular note is RC hole GRRC07-20 which intersected 6.09 metres grading 2.26% zinc + lead, and included 3.05 metres grading 4.14 % zinc + lead. These results are consistent with the grades evident in the back reef area at the Scotia Mine deposit. High grade zinc-lead mineralization at Scotia Mine occurs in the steep reef front, or fore reef, which is characterized by an adjacent "trench" filled with gravel and overburden. Eleven of the RC holes drilled at Carrolls Farm were lost in deep overburden which is presently interpreted to represent a "trench" feature similar to that at Scotia Mine. A summary of drill results from this program are presented in Table 1 below.
