RE: Remember the half a hole results??

RE: Remember the half a hole results??I am too, they should have had some more results by now, but they don't.  And to bail on it because of that is foolish.  You'd be taking unnecessary loses just because you can't wait.  I would freakin love to have results, but its apparently taking a while.  I can see why they might want to release all at one time too.  Look at the crap in the States, every time bad news comes out the whole tsx goes down.  News is being glossed over in general (unless its fantastic) (who was it Scotia Bank that demolished estimates? and the stock did nothing) because of greater economic problems that our neighbours from the south have.  I totally understand where your coming from, but this is a sit a wait, I'm positive it'll go up.

Also if you look at the situation in the states, there should be very little negative effects on Canadian stock market, save for large exporters.  Granted they are our largest trading partner, but look at this.  We have lower inflation, higher economic growth, better monetary policy (we target inflation, they target interest rates), a better fiscal situation (surplus vs a budgetary deficit).  Mabye this is telling Canada we need to diversify our trading partners.  If you look at the government, central bank, and general economic data, Canadian equities should be flooded with investment, but people are scared right now and are making too many decisions on an emotional basis.

If you step back and look at it, all signs point to a strong economy, but for the near future it is not a good environment to release news into. Typically news releases at the end of the year don't not get as much reaction as at the beginning, historically.

I understand what your saying, but I understand why they are doing it.
