Sure the buy-backs are advantageous to the Lundins, but this is capitalism, right? We're all in this to our "advantages". The buy-backs demonstrate management's belief that their own stock is a good investment. I don't see Nortel buying back its shares...
You say that they "grossly" overpaid for every single investment they've made. I hear from most former EZM investors that Lundin Mining got a them for a very cheap price. As for the others, do you think Lundin's management is thinking short-term, like most of us?
I think your own price targets on LUN for the half and end-year 2008 are probably correct, although perhaps a bit on the cheap side.
