Belize Gold Production Update
Victoria , British Columbia CANADA, January 07, 2008 /FSC/ - ERIN VENTURES INC. (TSX - VX: EV), reports the following results from the production of placer gold on its Ceibo Chico Property in Belize. Since acquiring this Property, Erin has recovered a total of 904.2 oz. of raw gold. Of this total, 762.4 oz. of gold has been recovered during commercial production using a low-cost gold recovery dredge, and 141.8 oz. of gold has been recovered during bulk sample exploration using a trommel.
The following table sets out the commercial production results from the gold dredge as of Nov. 30, 2007:

(1) Production results will vary from month to month, depending on variables such as weather conditions, crew and equipment performance, and varying Au values in the gravels processed.
(2) An Au (pure gold) equivalent can be approximated by multiplying the quantity of raw gold by 0.70 (to account for a refining melt loss and the Fineness of the raw gold).
Historically, the months of December and January are the rainy season in this part of Belize, making operations very difficult. These seasonal weather patterns were taken into consideration when estimating annual production rates. Inclement weather conditions hampered production throughout November, and resulted in a decision to temporarily suspend production in mid December. Production will recommence as soon as conditions allow. Erin will utilize this low period to complete planned upgrades to the dredge to increase its capacity and operating efficiency before the next dry season.

About the Ceibo Chico Gold Prospect
* The property consists of 4 contiguous Exclusive Prospecting Licenses covering approximately 34 square kilometers (13 square miles), and a 160.25 hectare (396 acre) Mining License, in west/central Belize.
* Erin has an option agreement to acquire up to 90% equity in the Prospect.
* Erin has commenced gold production of the placer gold found on the Fan to establish cash flow to help off set exploration costs. The Fan is comprised of alluvial gravels formed where the drainage opens up at the contact with limestones.
