Record Output at Brandywine Run of River sets record output at Brandywine plant 2008-01-08 06:39 MT - News Release Mr. Jako Krushnisky reports RUN OF RIVER'S BRANDYWINE CREEK POWER PLANT SETS RECORD OUTPUT Run of River Power Inc.'s Brandywine Creek generating station produced 38,476 megawatt hours of green electricity in 2007 resulting in over $2.2-million of revenue for the year, ahead of budget and setting record annual output for the plant. Jako Krushnisky, Run of River's president, stated, "We are pleased with plant output at Brandywine and with larger than normal snow pack continuing this winter we are already excited about 2008." He further stated, "We are committed to the development of additional renewable green energy with our Pitt River and Upper Mamquam projects -- our successful plant at Brandywine Creek demonstrates that run-of-river is bringing energy self-sufficiency to the province and we are pleased to be part of the solution." Run of River Power operates an Eco Logo certified hydroelectric power generation station at Brandywine Creek, near Whistler, B.C., and sells the power to B.C. Hydro on a long-term, 20-year contract. The company is currently developing hydroelectric projects in two clusters located near Vancouver, B.C. Ten development projects, totalling 213 megawatts of capacity, will generate over 692 GWh per year of electricity offsetting over 249,000 tons of CO2 annually. When completed, these projects will provide in excess of $60-million per year in gross revenue to the company, while significantly contributing to the Province of British Columbia's goal of energy self-sufficiency.
