RE: Hope nobody here got sucked in to selling

RE: Hope nobody here got sucked in to selling"DaveAu, where are you getting your short o/s positions?" Just my intuition. I could be wrong but it looked like some players with a lot of muscle pounded the price through support in an effort to panic people. It underperformed the TSX financials for no reason that I was aware of at a time when I thought it should be outperforming since the banks have all those writedowns. Then recently the price was capped with a few big offers presumably to allow someone to accumulate. The big offers disappeared and the price moved up. I don't usually watch the ticker that closely but I was actively trading when the stock was below 36 because I was expecting a run up heading into earnings so it seemed like a pretty low risk trade. The trading shares are gone now. I just have my long term position. I expect this kind of thing with smaller companies but I'm surprised they can do it to a billion dollar company. I think it was only possible because people were already spooked due to the credit crunch panic.
