Allen-Vanguard announces $21 million order from Lockheed Martin for Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) equipment
 
OTTAWA, Aug 17, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --

Allen-Vanguard Corporation (the "Company" or "Allen-Vanguard") (TSX: VRS) of Ottawa, Canada today announced that it has received an order from Lockheed Martin for 523 Symphony ECM component systems valued at approximately $21 million. All figures are in Canadian dollars.

This order is the first 523 component systems against the previously announced requirement for up to 1,000 Symphony units, as commented on in the Company's update announcement of July 5, 2007. Allen-Vanguard began advance shipments against this order in July and expects to complete delivery of substantially all 523 units by the end of the Company's fourth quarter of fiscal 2007 which ends September 30, 2007.

"We are very pleased to see our work of the past several months begin to build into volume production orders and we remain very positive about the long term prospects and sustainability of the Symphony program," said David E. Luxton, President and CEO.
