RE: Gord Leask .................... TAT.V

RE: Gord Leask .................... TAT.V

Hello rfguy_ca,

Your concern is a natural one, I can definitely understand why you would feel the way you do. I spoke to Gord today, I got a strong indication his attention is clearly on MDR. Drilling has been completed on Lindero now the updated resource calculation can be completed as soon as possible.

The timing of the updated resource calculation is still unknown but if you push me for a guess, I'd say we are about 4 months away, probably a bit less actually. Unfortunately most of the work to get the resource calculation is 3rd party, thus we are at the mercy of various labs and outside personnel to complete their tasks.

I have started to truly appreciate the importance of an accurate and transparent resource update, especially in this stage of the Lindero's development. An accurate resource update will pave the way for management to entertain offers for this deposit. I believe the  recent trip by management to Chile to visit the Refugio deposit has proven to be a significant learning experience for management. This experience will likely be extremely beneficial when the suitors come knocking with their fat bank accounts and/or attractive paper to be used to buy Lindero from MDR.

See the following section of the latest NR:

"On January 22, 2008, a Mansfield delegation toured the Kinross Gold Refugio heap leach gold mine located in central Chile, 250 km southwest of Lindero. Refugio is of particular interest to the Company as it exhibits striking similarities to Lindero including geology, deposit geometry, leach characteristics and grade distribution. Operating metrics at Refugio will provide a useful template for establishing the economics of the Lindero deposit."

In addition, I think it is also important to remember that ANM is the operator for the activities with Rio Grande. No doubt the Leasks are keenly involved in the big picture (drilling plans etc) with Rio Grande, they are likely not involved in the day-to-day activities on this property, thus I would imagine the Leasks have a small bit of spare time available to them to explore other interests including a director appointment to an up and coming junior.

I am comfortable with my understanding that Tatmar will play a distant second fiddle to Gord's focus so I encourage you "not to worry".

Now ............. let's talk about the recent share price:

It amazes me that we are trading in the $3.00 range, this is crazy. Just to refresh you with Gord's most recent comment:

"The Company is fortunate to own a deposit of Lindero's quality in a very acquisitive gold market. Lindero has many favourable physical characteristics including size, grade, grade distribution, recovery rate, and amenability to leaching as well as location. Upon the completion of the updated resource estimate and scoping study, I believe the shareholders will enjoy the true value of the Lindero deposit."

Translation to me: Stay tuned ............... once we get that resource calculation completed, we'll get a significant "gap up".

Good luck in the markets, your bud, SL
