RE: Right on target

RE: Right on targetWell, I agree that it's a bit of a stretch, but if you've been doing your homework, you understand the future potential of prepaid...cell phone services are just the beginning. Imagine these potential situations: Bhindi the construction worker gets his pay on a pre-loaded cash card. He is Indian, working in UAE for cash and of course, has no bank account. He takes his cash card to the local Carrefour and transfers part of it home to his wife...quickly, easily, and safely. He keeps the rest on the card, so he doesn't have to worry about hiding cash in the barracks or carrying around the balance of his pay. So now he uses VSI technology for 4 services...all from the same store. Meanwhile Tran a Vietnamese refugee in New York City, and Consuelo, a Mexican nanny working for a Silicon Valley egghead, are both illegally living/working in the USA. Looking for ways to send money home without leaving a paper trail, they discover that they can take cash into their local 7-11. They can do a direct transfer immediately to their home countries, or buy a card with a PIN to send home with their friends with virtually no chance of theft or detection by customs. Closer to home, Wayne discovers that his welfare will be sent to him on a preloaded card. Which is great, because he won't have to wait until the cheque clears (if he even has a bank account), or get ripped off by Money Mart any more. Meanwhile, Bob in the Alberta government sees how effective loading prepaid cards are and.....ok will somebody finish this one....??? Ok, this is just a start. You know the old saying "the best views go to those with the most foresight." If you take the long-term view, you can see that Vendtek's technology could encompass ALL of the above situations, and even more. I think this is what Darbygirl is so excited about...there are so many possibilities, it's mind boggling. This is the cashless future that we all read about 20 years ago. So I've started the ball rolling. What OTHER possibilities might VSI's technology encompass....???? Gladys7
