Canadian example of an MVNO is VIRGIN MOBILE. I was under the impression that the upcoming spectrum auction would have provided a new entrant with the capacity to enter the market, purchase spectrum, and partner with one of the incumbents to the degree of partial profit sharing but nonetheless, independent operations. Something similar to what Virgin had with BCE Inc. Prentice's announcement of a network build-out stand to dispell this arguement. Furthermore, the latest comments establish a weakened stance of Industry Canada towards the harboring of innovation and competition in Canada.
