RE: off topic- article request - 2 of themRed:
StockHouse had posted a couple of articles over a week ago.
ONE was entitled "Gold stocks versus bullion: the pressure builds.
The LINK was https://www.stockhouse.ca/shfn/editorial.asp?edtID=39137
The OTHER was called "Why are juniors underperforming"
The LINK was https://www.stockhouse.ca/shfn/editorial.asp?edtID=39139
IF you look real closely at the Charts you can see they were generated using www.stockcharts.com.
In fact you can generate your own ratio plots with respect to gold or any other company or index you so chose using stockcharts by inputting "nem:$gold" as an example. In other words, input the symbol for the company or index or commodity, then input a colon, then input the symbol for the commodity or index or company.
You could, for example, plot the ratio of the Gold Bugs Index ($HUI) to the Gold Price ($GOLD) by inputting "$HUI:$GOLD" into StockCharts.com
You could also plot the ratio of Gold Price ($GOLD) to the Oil Price ($WTIC) by inputing "$GOLD:$WTIC". You could plot the performance of Cantex (CD.V) to the TSX Venture ($CDNX) by inputting "cd.v:$CDNX".
If you are curious and want to play around some more, here is the catalogue of symbols for the companies, commodities and indexes etc.

Have fun.
