Noront Getting Attention in the UKAs explained below, there is much excitement regarding the Noront discovery in Ontario. Although, not mentioned in the minesite article, Mill City Gold (MC on the TSX-V) are stalking (with JV partner Temex) in the same area and are hopeful....

PDAC Builds Social Bridges As Noront Grabs The Spotlight
"Oh well, onto the show, where Noront Resources stood out above the crowd. Little wonder given that shares in the new market darling have climbed from C$0.29 to nearly C$7 each over the past 12 months. Driving its value is a nickel-copper-gold-platinum-palladium discovery on its Double Eagle project in a remote area of northern Ontario. This find has produced drill results of the order of 35 metres grading 7.91% nickel, 3.45% copper, 1.66 grams per tonne platinum, 12.79 grams per tonne palladium, 3.87 grams per tonne gold and 9.27 grams per tonne silver. Not surprisingly it’s also sparked a staking rush in what has become known as the McFaulds Lake "Ring of Fire" area of Northern Ontario.
Double Eagle clearly has the grade although many pundits worry that the tonnage will be on the light side. Only time will tell, but the Noront optimists and the other area players did get a boost after Noront hit a second massive sulphide occurrence located 2 kilometers to the southwest of its Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence. Results are pending and, rest assured, when they come in they will be market moving. So the speculators have started laying down bets on the explorers surrounding the Double Eagle copper-nickel project, and the likelihood of any of that ground hosting a deposit. Amongst these are MacDonald Mines, Probe Mines, Spider Resources, KWG Resources, and Fancamp. This area play is sure to be a hot topic throughout 2008"
