RE: Drilling RateWhatever bit they are using, it is my understanding that will take a number of days to hard rock drill a hole for 26" conductor barrel, and then for the 12-13" surface casing down to about 500 meters. Hard rock drilling is still limited by the drill string limitations, and moving all those cuttings will be filling up the vac trucks pretty quickly. Nippling up a set of BOP's that have probably sat on their side for months on end, and the bleed off and blowout manifold system will take a fair amount of time. The drill bit selection may be based on previous drilling activities, and the better than the rest, drill bit representative(s). Regardzzz....................Barrhead
