Bomba has served as chief executive officer of Messier-Bugatti USA since November 2004. Messier-Bugatti, a French company that makes carbon-composite brake components for commercial aircraft, is one of Zoltek's largest customers. Its U.S. headquarters is based in Walton, Ky.

Rumy said Zoltek has not yet determined when Bomba will start. Messier-Bugatti announced she was leaving the company on Monday.

St. Louis-based Zoltek Cos. Inc. (Nasdaq: ZOLT) manufactures carbon fiber products.
