JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - March 17, 2008) - Altius Minerals Corporation ("Altius" or the "Company") (TSX:ALS) reports net earnings for the three months ended January 31, 2008 was $604,000 compared to net earnings for the three months ended January 31, 2007 of $27,325,000. A summary of the unaudited results is included in the following table. Royalty revenue from the Labrador Nickel Royalty Limited Partnership was $1,331,000 during the current quarter, which was consistent with the amount for the same period last year's revenue of $1,393,000.
