RE: Cobalt shows signs...

RE: Cobalt shows signs...Another garbage article from some wannabee analyst trying to make up a story complete with predictions out of nothing. Provides a half baked analysis and makes a big thing out of a price spread of about $3 and change to predict a fall in cobalt prices and spread some doom and gloom. Oil of course can swing up and down a lot more percentagewise but does anyone suggest that oil is coming down over the longer run? No. It stands to reason that cobalt might undergo significant price swings, quite likely even more than some other commodities, because it's not being sold in enormous quantities on steady basis to meet demand, and there will be bargaining going on, leading to further volatiltiy. Large price fluctuations can be expected. I don't keep an eye on the prices and who's buying and selling and when, but I'll bet that this type of activity has occurred more than a few times in the past as the dramatic and steady rise in cobalt prices over the past couple of years has been taking place. But all of a sudden, in the analyst"s estimation, cobalt "is coming back to earth". It seems that this type of article, which plays on investor fears without providing any real analysis, is becoming more common, not only with cobalt but with other commodities, as the fears of recession are stoked. Don't forget also that these guys actually get paid for crap like this and exaggeration if not outright BS is not unusual. JMO.
