restructured???It is a time to be very leery of new or updated mutual funds. There is a lots of restructured paper out there. Restructured the way I see it means "worthless", however it has to go somewhere and they need to try and create value were there is none. I can see some of this so called restructured paper moving into baskets of mutual funds. The fund will likely contain a number of solid assets but just enough worthless ones to keep the loss or gain within +/- 10%. You can bet it will most likely be on the loss side however! How the fund performs will depend on how well the good assets do because the idea will be to hide the restructured crap and ease it out of the market over the next ten years.
